BORIS KARLOFF YOU CREEPY AS HELL
Incidentally, can you imagine meeting Boris Karloff at the grocery store? He’d be glaring at you down the cereal aisle and you’d just pick up your box of Wheaties like, “Hey, Boris.”
Unfortunately for you, it was the last box of Wheaties and Boris is determined not to leave that aisle without breakfast…
Actually, I’ve read that Boris Karloff was a really sweet man in real life. He gave money to children’s charities and every year he dressed up as Santa Claus to visited physically disabled children. He’d probably smile and let you take the cereal. He’s a gentleman like that.

will look into it | added to TBR | on my TBR | couldn’t finish it | ugh | it was OK | really enjoyed it | loved it | LIFE RUINER | it killed me with wonder
Super fun book. Great political advice. Replace armies with cats and supply all monarchs with stilts, yes, yes. But it didn’t kill me with wonder because there is other Dr. Seuss stuff that I love much more, especially his rhymier works. My all time favorite Dr. Seuess book is of course: The Lorax. It turned me into a little environmentalist the same way The Paperbag princess turned me into a little feminist.
Recommendation: Going along with the monarchs with bizarre problems theme, I’d recommend Many Moons by James Thurber. It’s my second favorite Thurber story (first being The 13 Clocks) for the cleverness of its ending and the lovely long lists. I’m a fan of lists.
